I can use the new website I created in various ways. It becomes particularly useful when communicating between students and their parents. If a student or their parent is having problems with any area of my class, they can refer to the website I have created as a means of helping solve their problems. They have access to information about myself as well as my contact information, so they are able to personally contact me should their problems continue. They are also able to access internet links that will serve of purpose to them when they need to search things on the internet to complete their assignments, and they have direct access to a reading list that will prove to be both useful and educational to them.
I myself will use the website to stay organized and up-to-date with the assignments I have to post for my students' access. I will also use it as a more efficient way of communicating between my students, their parents, and myself.
Google Form
I will use forms created on Google Drive in many ways, such as establishing effective communication with the parents of my students so I can learn their vital information, as well as their likes, dislikes, areas of concern, and how they can relate to me as their teacher.
Three Benefits of Using Spresdsheets in the Classroom: Using spreadsheets in the classroom will allow me to organize information and data in a neat fashion in which myself and my students will be able to further review and understand it. Spreadsheets will allow me to enhance my students' learning through the use of organized data, and allow me to track their progress by creating spreadsheets of their learning enhancement.
By viewing and using this concept map, students with special needs will be able to better understand natural landforms, the type of weather that occurs on and around these landforms, where they are located, and what types of animals live there. Students will be using the skills of using technology to visualize various concepts in a digital fashion.
My students will learn how to correctly place and identify data by using cells on a spreadsheet, and identify various data and statistics within the cells they have learned to identify. They will also be able to represent statistics using written numbers and data, and compute them into a spreadsheet, which is a more organized way of visualizing data.
This project I chose to be about Thomas Edison, the inventor of the lightbulb among many other things, because one of my Academic Content Standards was to teach children about an important historical figure. I chose this particular setup because it teaches children how to categorize events in a timeline while understand a basic biography, both of which are also Academic Content Standards.
I found this project to be very entertaining to create. It allows students the ability to view the various continents and oceans in a manner that isn't typically used in the classroom. It also allows for independence when creating multimedia presentations.
By creating a Google Earth project, students will be learning about various things that take place in our world. For example, in my presentation, students will be able to discover the different types of climates that take place around the world and see what kinds of animals live there, along with various facts about the animals or the climates themselves. Students will use these skills to draw conclusions between various climates in particular when viewing my presentation, and also between the animals that live ther.
Digital Video
The video I made is called 'Learning the Months of the Year' and is geared toward the younger elementary grades, or toward those with special needs, even if they are not in the younger grade levels. This video contains one slide per month of the year along with pictures that add in describing a fun fact about that month.
The presentation I have created using Smart Notebook teaches students of the elementary level how to count up to the number ten. I have also included two activities within the presentation for further learning engagement and comprehension.
